Great Wolf Lodge Just Dropped a Ranch Milkshake (Yes, Ranch)
Posted by Johnny Ice

If you thought 2026 couldn’t get any weirder, buckle up.

Great Wolf Lodge Just Dropped a Ranch Milkshake (Yes, Ranch)

The indoor waterpark chain known for waterslides, wave pools, and sugar-fueled family chaos has announced a new limited-time milkshake flavor… and it’s not chocolate. It’s not strawberry. It’s not even some over-the-top birthday cake situation.

It’s vanilla and ranch dressing.

Take a moment. I’ll wait.

Somewhere in the Midwest, a chorus of ranch lovers just stood up and applauded. The rest of us are still trying to process the idea of sipping a mayonnaise-based salad dressing blended with ice cream.

What’s Actually In This Thing?

Oh, it gets better.

This ranch-forward creation isn’t just a plain shake. It comes fully loaded with:

  • Carrots

  • Celery

  • Crispy chicken

  • A salty lime-coated rim

  • Whipped cream on top

It’s basically a salad bar collided with a dessert menu.

The shake will be available from March 5 through March 20, strategically overlapping with National Ranch Day on March 10. On that sacred day, the shake will cost just $3.10, making it dangerously affordable for anyone curious enough (or chaotic enough) to try it.

Haven’t We Been Here Before?

This isn’t the first time ranch has wandered into frozen dessert territory. A few years ago, ice cream brand Van Leeuwenteamed up with Hidden Valley Ranch for a ranch-flavored ice cream collaboration.

The verdict back then? Surprisingly not horrifying at first sip. The vanilla base carried most of the weight, but those savory herbs and spices crept in during the aftertaste like an uninvited guest who refuses to leave.

In other words: tolerable… but not something you’re craving at 10 p.m.

Would You Drink This After Water Slides?

There are nearly two dozen Great Wolf Lodge locations across the country, meaning plenty of opportunities to test your taste buds (and possibly your stomach lining).

Is this the ideal treat after a long day of chlorine, wave pools, and indoor waterslides? Hard to say. Ranch loyalists are a fearless bunch. For some, this might be the ultimate day-trip indulgence. For others, it’s a social experiment disguised as dessert.

Will it earn a spot among the best milkshakes in America? Probably not.

But will people try it? Absolutely.

Because deep down, we’re all just curious enough to ask:

How bad could ranch ice cream really be?
